Calm Leaders. Capable Teams. Thriving Workplaces.
The Team Approach helps leaders and teams build the capacity to work well and live well, through somatic coaching, practical nervous system education and proactive EAP support.
Regulation Before Resilience
We give people the capacity to work well and live well, through practical nervous system education, regulation and counselling and coaching that sticks.

Somatic & Capacity Coaching
One-to-one coaching for leaders and high achievers running on empty. Working with the body, not just the mind, and using tools like E-DISC behavioural profiling to understand how you’re wired, we help you restore energy, learn to truly rest, regulate under pressure, lead with clarity instead of exhaustion and build a toolkit of resources, strategies and practical tools to access when required.
Nervous System Education & Training
Practical, body-based workshops, toolbox talks and Lunch & Learns that teach teams how stress really works and give them regulation tools they can use the same day. Popular sessions include:
- Meet Your Inner Reptile™
- E-DISC Profiling & Team Communication
- Handling Challenging Behaviours at Work
- Supporting Students with Challenging Behaviours
- Psychosocial Safety for Leaders & Teams
- Be Well to Lead Well
Psychosocial Safety & Wellbeing Strategy
Psychosocial safety isn’t a policy. It’s the felt sense of a workplace. We help leaders and teams recognise stress responses in themselves and others, and build the regulation skills that make work feel safe, supporting you to meet your psychosocial obligations. We also partner with organisations to design tailored wellbeing strategies that put people first, because when your people are well, they work well.

Proactive EAP
Confidential, preventative support that builds capacity before crisis, not just coping after it. Your people can access:
- Counselling & somatic coaching
- Leadership & capacity coaching
- Sleep & ADHD coaching
- Nutrition & physical health coaching
- Legal & financial wellbeing support
- Parenting support (coming soon)
- The Team App, gifted to EAP partners
Plus MHFA training for your workplace, in partnership with Rural Counselling Australia.
Why capacity comes first
You can’t build resilience on an empty tank. Regulation comes first, and capacity is what lets people work well and live well.
When the nervous system is overloaded, the thinking brain goes offline. People snap, freeze, avoid or shut down, not because they don't care but because they've run out of capacity. Building capacity means clearer thinking, better decisions and calmer responses under pressure.
Calm is contagious, and so is chaos. Managers account for around 70% of the difference in how engaged their teams are (Gallup). A regulated leader steadies the whole room; a depleted one spreads stress without meaning to.
Our training is practical and body-based, not theory on a slide. Teams leave with regulation tools they can use the same day; in the lunchroom, on the factory floor, in the classroom, or before a hard conversation.
Capacity is prevention. Building it early reduces burnout, conflict and psychosocial hazards before they turn into stress claims, helping you meet your obligations under Victoria's Psychological Health Regulations.
Why a Proactive EAP?
Choosing the right EAP provider isn’t about ticking a box. It’s about support people actually use.
Most EAPs sit in a drawer until there’s a crisis, and only a small fraction of staff ever use them. Ours is built around your people, your industry and your leaders, so it gets used before things fall apart.
Early support is far cheaper than late support. A psychological injury claim takes a median of 35.7 weeks off work to resolve, around five times longer than a typical serious claim (Safe Work Australia).
It’s more than counselling. Your people can also access coaching, nutrition, fitness, sleep, ADHD, legal and financial wellbeing support, all through one provider.
It pays for itself. Every dollar invested in workplace mental health returns an average of $2.30 to the business (Productivity Commission), and a pay-as-you-go model means you only pay for what’s used.
Building capacity for mentally healthy teams
Burnout isn’t a resilience problem. It’s a capacity problem. We help leaders and teams restore their energy, regulate under pressure and build the capacity to do their best work, so wellbeing becomes part of how your workplace runs, not just another box to tick.

Build Capacity, Lift Performance
When people are running on empty, performance suffers. We teach the skills and self-awareness your team needs to regulate under pressure, restore their energy and build lasting capacity. From there, teamwork, communication and relationships come more easily, and your people can bring their best to work, every day.

“You have become an essential resource.”
As an entrepreneur and owner of several businesses, I have really appreciate Lou's expertise and guidance over the past couple of years. Her coaching has been instrumental in the growth of my business. Thank you Lou for your expertise and calm voice of reason that has become both a guide and a compass. You have become an essential resource for my own mental health care and Leadership strategies.
– Katrina Ramsay
I engaged Lou's services to help improve my communication with my clients. Her use of E-Disc profiling, amongst other tools, has really helped me better understand my own communication styles, but more importantly, to observe my clients' tendencies so that I can communicate with them "in their own language". I'd highly recommend engaging with Lou if you're looking to better understand your relationships with others, and your relationship with yourself.
– Dr Mick Bowe
I was drawn to Lou's bubbly personality, sessions with her were always enjoyable and educational. I have attended most workshops and programs that Lou presents, there was something to take away from each one. Our sessions have transformed to life coaching, I've learnt so much in our time together, I have a much better understanding of myself and personality types (would highly recommend the E-disc prafiling Lou provides it has been eye opening). Lou has helped me clarify my goals, identify the obstacles holding me back, and then come up with strategies for overcoming each obstacle. I look forward to each appointment, it's tke chatting to a close friend, I feel lighter and better prepared to take on the next challenge after seeing Lou.

The Team Approach is simply next level. I was wary of counsellors as it is so important to have the right person, highly qualified, compassionate and progressive. We were not disappointed. A happier, more connected team. Thankyou!
